Professional, respectful and enjoyable team environment
Premier Shades is an Australian-owned and operated window-furnishing business based in Wyoming on the Central Coast.
For more than 30 years, we have helped homeowners find practical, attractive and high-quality window-furnishing solutions. Our reputation has been built on professional advice, quality workmanship and genuinely caring about the customer experience.
We also believe that great customer service starts with how we treat our people. Our team works collaboratively,
respects each person’s contribution and enjoys what we do, while continually looking for ways to improve through technology, innovation and the latest developments in colour, design and window furnishings.
The opportunity
Most of your time will be spent meeting homeowners in their homes throughout the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie region.
You will listen carefully to each customer’s needs, recommend suitable solutions, take accurate measurements, prepare professional quotes and follow up opportunities through to sale.
Some customers may also meet you at our Wyoming showroom, where you can help them finalise their selections.
Alongside residential sales, there is an opportunity to build relationships with relevant local organisations and businesses, including retirement villages, clubs, hospitality venues, designers and property professionals.
The role is full-time, five days per week. From time to time, you may arrange a Saturday showroom appointment where it is needed to accommodate one of your customers.
What you will be responsible for
Conducting professional in-home consultations
Understanding customers’ practical, style and budget requirements
Recommending appropriate window-furnishing solutions
Taking accurate measurements and preparing detailed quotes
Following up quotes professionally and converting opportunities into sales
Meeting customers in our Wyoming showroom when required
Managing your appointments, sales pipeline and customer communication
Developing new residential and selected business opportunities
Building strong, long-term customer and referral relationships
Achieving agreed sales targets and key performance indicators
Working closely with our office, operations and installation teams
Contributing ideas that improve sales performance and customer satisfaction
About you
You are an experienced sales professional who enjoys building trust, solving problems and helping customers make confident purchasing decisions.
You are comfortable working independently, but you also recognise that excellent customer outcomes rely on strong teamwork behind the scenes.
Ideally, you will bring:
At least two years’ experience in an autonomous sales or consultative sales role
A successful track record of following up opportunities and closing sales
Excellent communication, listening and relationship-building skills
A professional, positive and customer-focused approach
Strong organisation, time-management and follow-up habits
Confidence using computers, customer-management systems and quoting software
Good attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate quotes
A collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Experience in window furnishings or related industry would be highly regarded. However, we are also interested in accomplished salespeople from other industries who are keen to learn.
Who will thrive in this role?
This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys being out on the road, meeting different people and managing their own sales activity.
You will thrive here if you are motivated by achieving results, but understand that long-term success comes from giving customers honest advice, communicating reliably and delivering an excellent experience.
