Wind Turbine Installation - Mechanical Technicians

We are seeking Mechanical trade technicians to join our team working on a Wind Farm construction project near Wellington in Central West, NSW.

Roster: 21d/7d, Monday to Saturday 11hrs per day

Mobilisation: Staggered starts between July - August

Project Length: 18 months to 2 years

Flights from major cities (excluding Western Australia) and accommodation provided

The Mechanical Wind Technician plays a key role in the construction and installation of wind turbines on large-scale wind farm projects. Responsible for the mechanical assembly, installation, and mechanical completion of turbine components, this role requires a strong commitment to safety, technical excellence, and quality workmanship. Working closely with site teams, the Mechanical Wind Technician ensures all installation activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.

What you'll be doing:

- Install and assemble wind turbine components in accordance with manufacturer specifications, project requirements, and quality standards.
- Perform mechanical installation activities, including tower internals, nacelle components, drivetrains, hubs, and blades.
- Complete mechanical bolting, torquing, tensioning, alignment, and fit-out activities as required.




- Support pre-commissioning and mechanical completion activities to ensure turbines are ready for handover.

What we're looking for:

- Previous experience working in a construction environment, preferably within renewable energy, wind farm, infrastructure, mining, heavy industry, or large-scale project settings.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely at heights and in remote locations
- Willingness to travel and work adaptable schedules to meet the needs of the business
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

- Current GWO or willing to obtain - Mandatory
- ART trained - Highly desirable.
- Relevant Certified Mechanical Trade - Mandatory
- Ability to work a 3 week on/1 week off roster
