Smart Talent is proud to be partnering with St George Leagues Club, one of Sydney's leading registered clubs, to recruit an experienced and customer-focused Duty Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional with previous registered club leadership experience to join a respected venue renowned for delivering exceptional member and guest experiences across food, beverage, gaming and entertainment operations.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Duty Manager will play a key role in leading day-to-day venue operations, supervising frontline teams, ensuring compliance with Club and regulatory requirements, and delivering outstanding customer service across all operational areas.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Club during your shift, ensuring a safe, compliant and professional environment for members, guests and employees.

This role operates across a rotating roster including days, nights, weekends and public holidays and requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage day-to-day venue operations

Supervise Food & Beverage, Gaming, Bar and Customer Service teams

Ensure high levels of customer service and member satisfaction

Monitor gaming operations and adherence to legislative requirements

Manage staffing levels, workflow and operational performance during shifts

Address customer enquiries, complaints and incident management

Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG, WHS and Club policies





Conduct venue inspections and maintain presentation standards

Support management with reporting, compliance and operational initiatives

Assist with the delivery of promotions, events and entertainment activities

Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture

About You

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

Previous experience as a Duty Manager within a Registered Club environment (essential)

Robust leadership and people management capabilities

Proven ability to lead teams across food, beverage and gaming operations

Sound knowledge of NSW hospitality and gaming legislation

Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

A professional and member-focused approach

Ability to make sound decisions under pressure

Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

Current NSW Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG)

Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling (ARCG)

Previous Duty Manager experience within a Registered Club

Desirable Qualifications

Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

First Aid Certificate

Gaming and hospitality operational leadership experience in a large venue
