About your role:
Due to continuing growth in student numbers, our College of Electrical Training is looking for Expressions Of Interest for full-time and part-time instructors for our Joondalup Campus. To be a successful Trainer you will need to have an in-depth knowledge of the electrical industry and a passion for mentoring and passing on your knowledge to the next generation of electricians.
No previous teaching experience is required, and training will be provided and paid for.
Our Trainers and Assessors are required to be working towards or hold their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment however, if you do not hold this qualification, this is not a problem. For successful candidates:
- We will pay any out of pocket course fees,
- Much of the practical course work will be completed on work’s time,
- You will be supported throughout the journey.
- You can complete the course and work full-time
Your duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare for classroom and practical workshop delivery
- Deliver both electrical theory and practical workshop training
- Conduct tutorials for class revision
- Conduct exams and assessments
- Supervise students and provide support as required
- Identify training needs and develop training programs as and when required
- Work with the Development team to design and develop training resources and training aids when required
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Be a qualified Electrician or hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology
- Willing to obtain TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Current Working With Children Card (or be able to obtain)
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of electrical principles, standards and the electrical industry
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for training and mentoring others
- Demonstrated ability to impart knowledge and skills
- Ability to show initiative and be proactive
What you’ll receive in return:

- Our Full time Trainers work a 4 day work week with a paid lunch break
- If you do not hold your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – we will pay any fees for you.
