We're on the hunt for a Civil Labourer to join a busy Council infrastructure crew in Yeppoon. If you're reliable, safety-focused, and ready to roll up your sleeves, this could be your next long-term prospect.
What's on offer?
- $42.00 per hour + Super
- Monday to Friday
- 6:30am - 3:30pm
- Immediate Start
- Work with a supportive, experienced team maintaining and improving local infrastructure.
What you'll be doing
- Construction and maintenance of Council infrastructure and assets.
- General labouring duties across a variety of worksites.
- Operating vehicles, machinery, hand tools and small equipment.
- Completing pre-start inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
- Reporting equipment defects and safety concerns.
- Working safely as part of a multi-skilled team.
- Providing great customer service when interacting with the public and colleagues.
- Completing timesheets,
vehicle logbooks and other required paperwork.
- Attending training when required.
What you'll need
- White Construction Card (Essential)
- Open Class C Driver Licence (Essential)
- MR Truck Licence (Highly Desirable)
- Experience using small machinery, hand tools and two-way radios.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with general supervision.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to complete records and reports.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
