The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Finance & Operations to join Big River Group on a six-month contract, with the potential for a further six-month extension.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Business Transformation & Technology, you will manage a portfolio of related Finance and Operations projects that collectively support BRG’s priority business outcomes.

The anchor project is the establishment of a virtually centralised Finance Capability Hub, including operating model refinement, transition planning, business readiness and adoption. You will also coordinate the business implementation of Finance automation, Customer Portal and telephony capabilities, working closely with Technology teams responsible for technical delivery.

This role will suit a practical, hands‑on Project Manager who can manage multiple workstreams, align competing stakeholders and drive recent ways of working through to sustainable operational ownership.

What you will be doing

- Managing a portfolio of related Finance and Operations projects, with clear alignment of scope, sequencing and outcomes.
- Leading the establishment of a virtually centralised Finance Capability Hub, including roles, accountabilities, service standards and ways of working.
- Driving organisational change, communication, training, business readiness and adoption.




- Working with Technology on Finance automation vendor selection and business implementation.
- Leading the Finance Capability Hub’s adoption and operation of the Customer Portal, including customer rollout, onboarding, training and support.
- Coordinating required telephony, process, workforce and service changes.
- Establishing project governance and managing scope, risks, issues, dependencies, vendors and stakeholders.
- Driving projects through to operational handover and sustainable business ownership.

What you’ll bring

- Strong project-management experience across multiple related initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience implementing operating model, shared‑services or organisational change.
- Strong business‑change, stakeholder‑engagement and adoption capability.
- Experience coordinating business and Technology teams on system‑enabled change.
- Ability to establish governance, manage dependencies and drive timely executive decisions.
- Experience in Finance transformation, AP/AR automation, customer portals or multi‑site organisations will be highly regarded.
