Casual Medical Receptionist for GP Practice – Narangba Station Medical Centre
About the role
Narangba Station Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and personable Casual Medical Receptionist to join our busy and supportive general practice team. This is a great chance for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in delivering excellent patient service and administrative support.

Key responsibilities
- Welcome patients in a warm, professional and friendly manner
- Manage appointment bookings and diary coordination
- Respond to patient enquiries over the phone and in person
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Assist with medical reports, correspondence and general documentation
- Perform general administrative duties including scanning, data entry and stock/inventory management
- Ensure the reception area is organised, professional and presentable at all times
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 12 months’ experience in General Practice Medical Reception
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong customer service focus and professional manner
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical practice software
- Experience using Best Practice,Gentu, Automed, Cubico will be highly regarded
- Flexibility to work casual shifts, including covering leave and occasional evening or weekend work
- A friendly, empathetic and team-oriented approach
