Principal Resource (Metals) Geologist - Brisbane Based

Still spending your life block modelling someone else's orebody? Good. Because we're after someone who wants to influence an entire business… not just another resource estimate.

We're looking for someone who can do the technical heavy lifting AND build relationships, mentor geologists, win work, influence strategy and become one of the recognised faces of a rapidly growing consulting business. You'll still be technical. Very technical. But you'll also be helping shape where the business goes next.

What you’ll actually be doing

- Leading and mentoring a team of Resource Geologists
- Acting as Competent Person, reviewing and signing off Mineral Resource Estimates (JORC)
- Delivering technically robust Resource Estimates across a range of commodities
- Working directly with ASX-listed juniors through to established mining companies
- Building long-term client relationships and becoming a trusted technical advisor
- Supporting proposals, business development and helping win exciting new work
- Helping shape the future direction of the Geology & Resource Estimation team
- Remaining hands‑on technically (approximately 60-70%), while influencing the business commercially and strategically (approximately 30-40%)

You’ll bring

- Significant experience in Mineral Resource Estimation and consulting.
- Eligibility to act as a JORC Competent Person.
- Strong mentoring and leadership capability.
- Commercial awareness and the confidence to sit across the table from clients.




- Experience using Datamine and/or Vulcan, plus Leapfrog
- A passion for geology… but an understanding that great consulting is every bit as much about people as it is block models.
