About the Role

Paradox Coffee Roasters is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team at our Broadbeach Flagship café.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, enjoys leading people, and takes pride in managing a venue. Someone who notices the details, keeps standards high, communicates well, and builds strong relationships with both staff and customers.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the café, helping to lead the team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and maintain the high standards that Paradox is known for.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, supporting their team, solving problems, and creating a positive and productive workplace culture.

The role

- Assist in the day-to-day management of café operations

- Lead and support a team of baristas and front of house staff

- Deliver exceptional customer service and handle customer feedback professionally

- Assist with staff training and development

- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service

- Assist with rostering, stock control, ordering, and general administration

- Ensure operational procedures are followed consistently

- Support the Store Manager in achieving business and team goals

What we’re looking for





- Previous experience in a café leadership role such as Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Head Barista, or similar

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment

- Specialty coffee knowledge and barista experience

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example

- Availability to work a flexible roster including weekends
