Council are seeking driven, friendly, passionate and confident individuals, to join our team as a Parks & Recreation Apprentice. You will gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Parks & Gardens.
About yourself
A person in this position will:
Neet to hold a relevant Year 12 Certificate in Education OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have a basic understanding of experience in the Parks and Gardens Industry.
Be required to complete a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens within 24 months.
Hold a current Queensland C Class Licence (is desirable).
Hold an OH&S; Construction Induction White Card is essential or willingness to obtain an OH&S; Construction Induction White Card prior to commencement.
Be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical
Be required to complete a National Police History Check.
Applicants may be required to undertake pre-employment literacy and numeracy tests.
Mandatory Vaccinations (or a valid and verifiable contraindication) are to be evidenced when requested by Council.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting to work towards and achieve team objectives; and
Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail.

Do not have a qualification that is equal to or higher than the qualification in the same field as your traineeship or apprenticeship.
