Reporting To

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team, reporting into the Financial Controller in Sydney. In this role you will work with local finance and supply chain teams as well as members as our global finance organisation to investigate and resolve queries.

Responsibilities

- Assigning inbound freight costs against incoming inventory shipments
- Freight statement reconciliations




- Reconciliation of advance payments to suppliers
- Processing payments to suppliers
- Weekly cashflow forecasts
- Intercompany reconciliations & FX Revaluations
- Goods in transit
- Preparation of month end journals including Prepayments and Accruals
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Inventory accounting & reconciliations, including involvement in stock counts
- Backup for Credit Controller
- Other ad-hoc duties as requested by your manager

Requirements

- Working towards an accounting qualification
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
- Previous experience working for a global company
- Must be a team player
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Work independently with minimal supervision
