FibreLink Innovations is a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure solutions, specialising in fibre optic network installations. We deliver high-quality end-to-end Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) and GPON network solutions. We are looking for motivated and reliable Fibre Optics Technicians plus juniors with an expression of interest for Cert 3 in telecommunications to join our growing team.

The Roles

As a Fibre Optics Technician you will play a key role in the installation, maintenance and repair of FTTP networks. The position focuses on cable hauling, jointing, splicing and testing, and includes valuable on-the-job training and explicit career development pathways in the fibre optics industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and terminate fibre optic cables, connectors and related equipment
- Perform cable hauling – pulling and routing fibre through conduits and pits
- Prepare and organise materials, tools and equipment for daily installations
- Work with senior technicians to troubleshoot and resolve network issues
- Conduct testing and measurements (OTDR, insertion loss, PON testing) to verify installation quality
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe worksite
- Accurately document cable routes, splices, terminations and work performed




- Support the team with site clean-up and equipment maintenance

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with fibre optic network installations (essential)
- Manual driver’s licence and clean driving record (essential)
- Confident towing and reversing trailers
- Experience building underground enclosures with heat shrinks
- Splicing experience
- OTDR, insertion loss and PON testing experience is essential as we build network and distribution networks.
- Working in live service joints experience is essential for the Technician Role
- Solid understanding of telecommunications and networking principles
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour, including lifting and outdoor work
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication and teamwork
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
