About the Role

Looking to kickstart your career in a hands-on trade environment? Screenwood is a leading manufacturer of premium timber products based in Kirrawee, NSW. We are looking for an energetic, motivated Production Assistant / Off-Sider to join our fast-growing manufacturing team full-time.

You will be working directly alongside our young, qualified shop leader. This is a brilliant chance for someone with a practical mind to learn the ropes of machine operation from a peer-led team in a down-to-earth environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Machine Off-Siding: Assisting our qualified tradesman cut, feed, and run high-volume timber mouldings.
- Skill Progression: After solid initial training, you will help set up precision machinery and run production jobs independently.
- Quality Control: Keeping an eye on the details, performing quality checks, and making adjustments so every piece meets our premium standards.
- Shop Maintenance: Keeping the machinery and workspace clean, safe, organised, and ready to roll.

What We’re Looking For

- Mechanical Aptitude: You have a natural knack for how things work. Maybe you tinker with cars, build things in the garage, or just love working with tools.
- High Energy & Fitness: This is a physical,



fast-paced role handling high-volume production. You need to be fit, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and able to lift up to 20kg.
- Reliability & Attitude: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude are non-negotiable. You take pride in a job well done.
- Team Player: Great communication skills to mesh well with a tight-knit production crew.
- Experience in a factory, manufacturing, or production environment is a bonus, but not required.
- Any partial trade background (e.g., first-year apprentices looking for a change) or technical courses (TAFE) are highly welcomed.
