Most Project Managers keep projects moving.

This role brings an entire enterprise transformation together.

Our client isn't looking for someone who simply updates project plans or reports status.

They're looking for someone with the technical credibility to bring together architecture, engineering, implementation partners and the business, ensuring complex technology initiatives move from design through to successful delivery.

You'll be equally comfortable discussing solution design with technical specialists as you are helping business stakeholders understand priorities, risks and delivery impacts.

You don't need to be the Solution Architect, but you do need enough technical judgement to ask the right questions, challenge implementation partners, identify risks early and know when something doesn't feel right.

You'll also be comfortable communicating across both technical and business audiences, ensuring everyone remains aligned throughout the program.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside the Solution Architect, Business Project Manager and implementation partners, you'll turn technical strategy into successful execution across one of the organisation's most significant technology programs. You'll connect technical workstreams, manage dependencies and ensure design decisions are successfully delivered into production.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating multiple technical workstreams
- Translating architecture into practical implementation plans
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies, budgets and schedules
- Holding implementation partners accountable for milestones and quality
- Working closely with architects,

engineers, Business Analysts and business stakeholders
- Supporting governance, release planning and transition into BAU

What makes this opportunity different

Rather than inheriting a mature delivery function, you'll join while the technology foundations are still being established.

The governance model, vendor relationships and delivery approach are still evolving, giving you the opportunity to influence how the program is delivered from the ground up.

You’ll help shape how technical governance, vendor engagement and cross-functional collaboration mature over time, leaving a lasting impact well beyond individual project milestones.

If you're looking for a role where your judgement genuinely shapes the success of a major program, rather than simply following someone else's playbook, this is that opportunity.

Why now?

Our client is a purpose-driven, member-owned financial services organisation undertaking one of the most significant technology investments in its history.

At the heart of the program is a Microsoft-centric modernisation spanning Dynamics 365, Microsoft Fabric, digital member and claims portals, workflow automation, document intelligence, enterprise integration, and data & analytics.

Multiple specialist implementation partners are delivering different components of the future platform. Success will depend on someone who can see the bigger picture, connect technical dependencies and keep multiple workstreams progressing with confidence.

It's a rare prospect to join early enough to shape the program, rather than inherit it once the major decisions have already been made.

What you’ll bring

We're interested in speaking with Technical Project Managers who enjoy working close to technology and influencing outcomes rather than simply administering projects.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Experience delivering complex, multi-vendor enterprise technology or digital transformation programs
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft Fabric or Power Platform
- Experience working across Solution Architects, technical teams, implementation partners and business stakeholders
- Ability to communicate confidently with both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management, governance and communication skills
- Commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge when required

Experience delivering Microsoft-led transformation programs, or working within financial services or another regulated environment, will be highly regarded but isn't essential.

Next steps

This opportunity is offered as an initial maximum-term contract through to June 2027. While funding is currently approved through this period, it forms part of a broader multi-year transformation program, with a strong expectation of further phases as future stages receive approval.
