We are seeking a skilled and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join the workshop team at North Coast Petroleum. This is a full-time position at Mckees hill NSW 2480 at our workshop and maintenance facility . As a Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of light vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering high-quality service to our customers and maintaining the reliability of our vehicles. Key responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and general inspections
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
- Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems and steering components
- Keep detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repair work completed
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Maintain workshop equipment and tools in good working order
What we're looking for
- Current and valid Light Vehicle Mechanic qualification or equivalent recognised trade certification
- Proven experience working as a light vehicle mechanic in a professional workshop environment
- Proficiency with vehicle diagnostic equipment and computer-based diagnostic systems
- Strong knowledge of light vehicle mechanical, electrical and brake systems
- Ability to read and interpret workshop manuals, technical drawings and service bulletins
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
