About the Role
An exciting contract opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a friendly and supportive payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll using Chris21. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has previous experience processing payroll in a high-volume setting.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing using Chris21;
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records;
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments;
- Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts;
- Responding to payroll-related enquiries from employees and stakeholders;
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and in line with legislative requirements;
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting; and
- Supporting the wider payroll team with ad hoc tasks as required.
About You
- Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll;
- Demonstrated experience using Chris21 (essential);
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements;
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
- Strong communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team; and
- Available to commence at short notice or within a reasonable notice period.
