Vitali Care is a successful disability support service providing a warm and supportive workplace environment to staff that is in-turn passed onto our clients in the NDIS and DVA sectors. We really are different.

We are looking for experienced Support Workers with engaging communication skills and a proactive approach to their role with our clients and their fellow team members. You should expect to support adults with a range of physical disabilities in a SIL setting and/or the community environment.

We are always looking for new team members. Right now, we have options for immediate engagement working with some mature clients with complex disability supports in Beenleigh, Browns Plains, Logan Reserve and Greenbank areas.

What your role could look like

Provide companionship, social engagement, and community participation support.

Participate with your staffing team on a roster over a 24/7 day cycle.

Provide complex personal care and support to clients in the home setting as they go about their activities of daily living with your engaged assistance.

Engage in lively conversation – we're looking for people who love to chat and make connections!

Implement client-specific care plans and keep detailed client records and documentation as you record progress and barriers to achieving set goals.

Assisting clients as they engage with their relevant healthcare and allied health providers.

Prepare and cook nutritious meals as needed for clients in a private home or SIL setting.

What you need to bring

Experience: Experience as a Support Worker assisting people with complex disability/aged care related support needs. Skill with cares such as catheter care,



bowl therapy, hoisting, complex personal cares are highly desirable.

Minimum of 2+ years experience as a Support Worker is required.

Experience with complex personal cares including catheter care, bowel therapy and hoisting is essential for this role.

Be flexible and responsive in your ability to prepare good meals confidently.

Communication Skills: Robust English verbal and written interpersonal skills. You will really shine if you have the ability to handle sensitive situations confidently and calmly in a goal focused manner.

Native or fluent level English proficiency is required for effective communication with clients and healthcare professionals.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy and focus, when documenting progress or barriers to a client meeting plan goals or critical incidents.

Dependability: You must be committed to performing the Shifts that you are offered (and you accepted).

Transport: You may be required to transport a client in your own vehicle. You will be paid for each KM you drive with them if you do.

Compliance: You must have and be able to provide Vitali Care with a copy of the minimum required approvals/clearances and training as listed below.

Required

You must be Australian Citizen or be able to work in Australia; and

A current NDIS Worker Clearance Card; and

A current Blue Card or the ability to get one; and

First Aid Certificate; and

Valid Australian Driver's License; and

Roadworthy car with comprehensive insurance; and

Smart Phone to install workplace CRM on; and

Preferred (highly desirable)

Certificate or degree in Individual Support or related human services.
