I’m working on a genuinely high-quality chance with a well-established Gold Coast accounting firm that’s about to go through a major growth phase.

They’re looking for a true number two - not just a senior accountant, but someone who can step in beside the Principal, take ownership of clients, support the team, and help drive the business forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll sit across three core areas:

1. Clients

- Own and manage a portfolio of SME clients.

- Review financials, tax returns, BAS, etc.

- Provide real commercial and tax advice (not compliance).

- Be the go-to person your clients rely on.

2. Team & Operations

- Review work and mentor junior staff.





- Help manage workflow, deadlines and WIP.

- Lift overall standards across the team.

- Get involved in improving how the firm runs.

3. Growth

- Support new client conversations and onboarding.

- Assist with proposals and pricing.

- Build relationships with clients and referrers.

- Contribute to the direction the firm is heading.

What They’re Looking For

- CA/CPA qualified ideally.

- ~5+ years in public practice.

- Strong technical grounding across tax + advisory.

- Comfortable running your own client base.

- Commercial mindset - you understand how businesses operate.

- Someone who actually wants to step up, not just cruise.
