Due to continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team and help keep our modern manufacturing facility operating at peak performance.
About the Role
Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a diverse range of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
- Installing and commissioning new plant and equipment.
- Performing shutdown maintenance activities.
- Working closely with production to minimise downtime.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment.
About You
To be successful you'll have:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter/Fitter & Turner or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing, sawmilling, timber processing or heavy industry (preferred but not essential).
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Welding and fabrication experience is highly regarded.
- A proactive attitude with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
