We're recruiting an experienced Diesel Fitter for a permanent opportunity with a well-established industrial business supporting customers across power generation and heavy equipment. Offering $62.50 per hour casual with a clear pathway to permanency, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of workshop and field service work.

Our client is a respected business specialising in industrial power generation equipment and mechanical systems. You'll join a supportive team of experienced technicians working across servicing, breakdowns, preventative maintenance and equipment preparation. This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work on quality equipment while building long term career stability.

Duties and responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair faults on diesel engines, generators and associated mechanical equipment
- Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs
- Prepare equipment for hire, sale, mobilisation and demobilisation
- Complete service reports, job cards, timesheets and inspection records accuratelyMaintain a secure, clean and organised workshop, vehicle and work area
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding job progress and technical issues

We are looking for someone with

- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar
- Experience servicing and repairing diesel engines and generators
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
