Knox Grammar School is an independent Uniting Church school on Sydney’s North Shore, educating boys from Kindergarten to Year 12 across day and boarding. About the role
As a Technology Services Analyst, you are the front door to technology at Knox. When a teacher,studentor parent needs help, you are who they turn to, in person, over the phone or online. You resolve the everyday issues, support the applications and devices theSchoolruns on, and make good technology feel effortless for the people who use it.
The role suits an adaptable generalist who enjoys variety and likes to keep learning. One hour you might set upa new staffmember’s accounts; the next, troubleshoot a classroom display or prepare student devices for the 1:1 program. Over time you grow into an advisory role, helping our community get more from the tools they use each day and sharing what you learn across the team.
You’llwork alongside a capable team of specialists and engineerswithin our Technology Services team. This is a permanent, full-time positionworking across theSchool’scampusesin Wahroonga,commencingas soon as possible.
What you’lldo
- Provide friendly, high-quality support across walk-in, phone and online channels, keeping people informed and escalating well when an issue needs a specialist.
- Manage requests,incidentsand problems through to resolution, and record your work in the ITSM system.
- Support Knox’s core business and learning applications: triage, troubleshoot, and resolve or elevate.
- Act as first responder for technology in classrooms and shared spaces,
fixing common issues and partnering with the Spaces and Events team on the complex ones.
- Onboard and offboard staff and students, from account setup to device and application provisioning, and handle day-to-day identity tasks such as password and MFA resets.
- Play an active part in the 1:1 device program: take delivery of devices, then configure and deploy them for students and staff.
- Work with specialists on mobile device management across iOS, macOS and Windows, and on equipment from printers to network switches and access points.
- Keep the asset registry current, contribute to the knowledge base, and help improve how the team works.
About you
You bring a real interest in technology and genuine care for the people you help. You enjoy solving problems, you follow through, and you are happy to keep learning as the tools change.
You willlikely have:
- At least two years in a technical support, servicedeskor desktop support role.
- Good working knowledge of mainstream desktop and networking technology, especially macOS andJamf.
- Familiarity with modern-workplace platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace.
- Confidence supporting people across walk-in, phone and online channels.
- A knack for classroom audio-visual systems,printersand peripherals.
It would also help to have
- Experience in a school or education setting.
- Experience withJamf, Intune or a similar MDM solution.
- Exposure to identity and access administration (accounts, MFA, licensing).
- Apple macOS certification, or ITIL certification or experience.
An opportunity exists for the position to be appointed at Technology Services Specialist level, which involves particularly experienced and capable analysts taking on additional portfolio responsibilities in one or more areas. Candidates with experience coordinating small to medium-sized projects or leading an uplift in ITSM/ITIL practice are strongly encouraged to apply.
