JD Built Byron Bay Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced subcontractor Formwork Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Byron Bay, NSW. As a Formwork Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction process, responsible for building and installing the temporary structures that support and shape concrete during casting. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of high-quality projects in the beautiful Byron Bay region, working between Ballina and the Gold Coast.
What you'll be doing
Construct and install formwork structures, following detailed plans and specifications
Ensure formwork is properly braced, aligned, and sealed to prevent concrete leakage
Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate formwork installation and removal
Maintain and repair formwork components as needed
Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards throughout the construction process
Contribute to a positive and productive work environment
What we're looking for
Extensive experience as a Formwork Carpenter, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and standards
Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in formwork carpentry
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address any challenges that arise
Robust attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
Must have valid driver's licence, insurance, contractor licence, white card and reliable transportation
Experience in Concrete finishing and steel reinforcement
