Healthe Care Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Electrophysiologist (EP) Technician to join our medical team in North Gosford, NSW. This is a part time position that offers flexibility, whilst contributing to the delivery of specialist cardiac care. As a Cardiac EP Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our electrophysiology department, working alongside consultants and the broader cardiac care team to provide high-quality patient services. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of EP procedures and the provision of safe, effective cardiac care to our patients.
What you’ll be doing
Assisting consultants during electrophysiology procedures, including diagnostic studies and catheter ablation
Preparing and maintaining electrophysiology equipment and ensuring all devices are functioning correctly and safely
Monitoring and recording cardiac rhythms and electrogram data during procedures
Providing technical support and troubleshooting during complex cardiac interventions
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive procedural records and patient documentation
Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile field during procedures
Communicating effectively with the clinical team to support optimal patient outcomes
Assisting with the setup, calibration and maintenance of specialist EP mapping and monitoring systems
Supporting patient care and comfort throughout procedures
What we’re looking for
Formal qualification as a Cardiac Technician or Electrophysiology Technician, or equivalent experience in a cardiac environment
Proven experience working in an electrophysiology laboratory or interventional cardiology setting
Strong technical knowledge of EP equipment, mapping systems and cardiac devices
Understanding of cardiac arrhythmias, EP procedures and relevant cardiac anatomy
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with medical consultants and nursing staff
Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications (such as CEPIA or equivalent)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in accordance with healthcare legislation and standards
