About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available to join South Pacific Private as a Group Therapist – Psychologist, Counsellor, Psychotherapist in a part time capacity.

We are recruiting for a Part-Time ‘Changes 1’ Group Therapist to join our agile Therapy team. This is a permanent part time role working one, 5 day week per month as part of a four week cycle.





- Facilitate daily trauma-informed group therapy for clients presenting with addictive processes and co-occurring mental health issues
- Provide comprehensive and professional trauma-informed case management to a delegated case-load of inpatient clients
- Support a positive treatment experience for all clients by role modelling functional adult behaviour.

Extensive training will be provided for suitable applicant

Essential Criteria

- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology / Counselling or Graduate Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience including group therapy facilitation
- Registered with an appropriate Counselling/Psychotherapy/Psychology body
- Experience working with clients who have experienced developmental trauma and who are living with addiction, mental health or relational concerns
- Experience in trauma-informed practice and delivery
- Excellent communication skills
- Independent worker with a team focus
- NSW National Police Check (willing to obtain one)
- CPR Certificate

Desirable Criteria

- CSAT trained/working towards
- 12 Step knowledge and/or lived experience
