No prior purchasing experience? No problem! This entry-level role is perfect for a motivated learner. You will develop your skills on the job and cross-train in key areas like customer service.
Your new role:
As our Trainee Junior Inventory Controller, you will learn the planning and execution of procurement activities to support growth across the business.
Your key learning outcomes will include:
- Prepare and process purchase orders following our standard company procedures.
- Monitor branch stock levels and create new product codes to support the sales team's needs.
- Keep inventory and pricing data accurate and up to date within the business system.
- Track stock levels closely to make sure we hit our customer service and order fulfillment targets.
- Support the branch manager and team with pricing questions, quotes, and delivery updates.
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal staff and external clients.

What you’ll need to succeed:
This is a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment, so your high attention to detail and ability to work well in a team is second to none. To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous entry-level experience in warehousing, retail, or inventory environment is highly regarded, alongside a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Familiarity with electrical products or experience within a wholesale setting is an advantage, but not essential.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to confidently update the team and coordinate with branch staff.
- A qualified, approachable manner with a positive attitude toward helping out across the branch.
- A strong drive to learn new processes, master stock handling systems, and build a long-term career path.
- A positive, team-first attitude with the confidence to communicate politely and effectively with all customers and staff.
- Solid computer literacy, including comfortable data entry skills and a willingness to learn basic inventory tracking databases.
- Full Australian working rights are required, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
