Karuna Montessori Preschool is a small, not-for-profit community preschool and kindergarten located in the beautiful Northern Beaches suburb of Narraweena.

With a maximum enrolment of just 30 children aged 3-6 years, we provide a calm, nurturing environment where every child is known, valued and supported as an individual.

Our authentic Montessori program inspires curiosity, independence and a lifelong love of learning. Children enjoy a spacious, thoughtfully prepared classroom alongside a stunning natural outdoor environment featuring gardens, open play spaces and beautiful views towards Long Reef Headland.





Our preschool operates Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm.

About the Role

We're seeking an enthusiastic and caring Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III or Diploma) to join our dedicated team.

Working alongside our Principal/Lead Teacher and experienced educators, you'll help create a welcoming, engaging and inspiring learning environment where children can thrive.

Whether you're already familiar with Montessori education or looking to expand your skills, we'll provide guidance, mentoring and ongoing support.

We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine passion for working with young children

Brings a positive attitude and a growth mindset

Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team

Has excellent communication and listening skills

Takes initiative and enjoys contributing new ideas

Is reliable, motivated and professional

Values respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues

Has experience working with children aged 3-6 years (Montessori experience is an advantage but not essential)

Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)

Current Working With Children Check

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications

Permanent working rights in Australia

Minimum two years' experience in an early childhood education setting
