We are seeking an experienced CSSD Sterilisation Technician to join us on a full time basis.
The key responsibilities of this role include reprocessing and sterilisation of instruments and equipment according to hospital and Australian Standards.
The role reports to Sterile Processing Department Coordinator.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Prior experience in sterile processing of at least 1 year
- Availability for variable 8-hour shifts from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication with general computer literacy for documentation and data entry
- Active participation with surgical set ups and daily operations of CSSD
- Effectively utilise the knowledge of infection control and sterilisation standards as per AS/NZ 5369:2023 to comply with the sterilisation process
- Assistance with stock control and order supplies as required
- Assist with maintenance and documentation of loan equipment
- Leverage interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective communication with the greater health care team
- Actively contribute to reporting of risks and quality improvement activities
