We are seeking a reliable and detail‑focused Accounts Assistant / Junior Accounts Officer to support daily bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general office administration. This role is suited to someone who is organised, accurate with data entry, and confident working across multiple tasks. Accounts experience is preferred but not required. training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily bank reconciliations
- General bookkeeping and data entry across multiple accounts
- Entering supplier bills, delivery dockets, and related paperwork accurately
- Processing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice creation and purchase order matching
- Maintaining organised financial records and supporting the Bookkeeper with accounts administration
- Managing general office administration duties and data entry
- Answering and making phone calls, responding to emails, and managing front‑desk reception
- Welcoming and communicating with clients and guests professionally
- Supporting broader administration tasks as required
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in accounts or administration is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to follow established processes and maintain clean financial records
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software preferred but not essential
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Qualified phone manner and confidence in client interaction
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently within a small team
