About the role:
As a System Administrator, you will work alongside a team of technical experts with a strong focus on delivering high-quality support and solutions across multiple client environments. You will provide end-user technical support to both Asta and customer environments, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences, willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, and confident tackling new challenges head‑on.
You will be involved in:
- Providing end-user technical support across hardware, software, and networking environments
- Troubleshooting and administering Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi and VOIP systems
- Mobile devices and endpoint management – ensuring devices remain compliant
- Managing user accounts, software licensing, printer access, and drives/folders
- Monitoring systems, backups, anti-virus, and security updates to maintain a secure and reliable environment
- Installing, imaging, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software equipment
- Escalating unresolved issues to senior or specialist technical resources where required
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation, technical notes, and knowledge base articles
- Awareness of SLAs in ensuring service requests are responded to and actioned within the SLA
To thrive in this role, you will need to have:
- Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute as part of a supportive team environment
- Basic server and system administration knowledge across Microsoft technologies
- Understanding of IT security concepts and best practices
- Experience managing user accounts, licences, and access permissions
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and escalating internet and telephony issues
- Solid organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience working with third‑party vendors and external support providers
- Ticketing system experience around understanding processes
- MSP or multi‑client experience will give you a head start
