JR Richards & Sons is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join our Rutherford team. Reporting to the General Manager - Central/Hunter Region, you will provide technical expertise in the assessment, treatment and management of hazardous and liquid waste streams. Working closely with operational teams, you'll optimise treatment processes, support compliance requirements, drive continuous improvement initiatives and help deliver innovative waste management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess waste streams for treatment, recovery and disposal
- Conduct waste classification, sampling and analysis
- Monitor and optimise treatment processes
- Investigate process, environmental and equipment issues
- Review data and identify improvement opportunities
- Provide technical advice on waste treatment and chemical handling
- Prepare reports,



compliance documentation and customer solutions
- Support business improvement and resource recovery projects

About You

- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Experience in hazardous waste, chemical processing, manufacturing or environmental operations
- Knowledge of waste treatment, chemical handling and environmental compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Current Class C Driver Licence
