About the Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Geologist to join our growing and dynamic team based in our Townsville office, with potential FIFO opportunities available.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in geotechnical site investigations and construction verification, along with proven project management capabilities. This role offers the prospect to work on a diverse range of projects while contributing to the continued growth and success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct field work as required;
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other divisions of PTG;
- Analysis of field and laboratory results;




- Undertaking reporting for the scope of works of the geological engineering division. These should be issued in timely manner and meet all stated and implied client requirements in accordance with company procedures;
- Undertaking site inspections and communicating with your supervising engineer to relay information and/or direction.

About You:

- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science or related
- 3 - 4 years of experience in Engineering Geology
- Proficient in geotechnical logging, interpretive reporting and managing site investigations
- Working knowledge of Geostudio and AutoCad would be advantageous
- Be able to work autonomously at times, managing clients, stakeholders and projects but with the support of the wider team
- Working towards or interested in attaining RPEQ and CPEng Qualification
- Personable with good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel to project sites and other offices as needed
- Current Automatic Class C Drivers License
