Operations Coordinator- Commodity Trading and Logistics

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an organised, proactive and commercially mindedOperations Coordinator- Commodity Trading & Logisticsto become an integral part of our team. This is far more than a logistics role.
Working alongside our experienced traders and senior leaders, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring commodity contracts are successfully executed from purchase through to delivery while helping keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. About the Role
As Operations Coordinator, you’ll work closely with our trading and management team to coordinate the day-to-day execution of commodity contracts across domestic and export markets.
You’ll be responsible for planning freight movements, coordinating logistics, managing operational documentation and maintaining strong relationships with customers, transport providers, warehouses and other key stakeholders.
No two days will be the same. This is a varied, fast-paced role where you’ll have the opportunity to think on your feet, solve problems and make a genuine contribution to the success of the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating commodity contracts from purchase through to successful delivery.
- Planning and coordinating domestic freight and logistics movements.
- Liaising with customers, growers, transport providers, warehouses and service providers.
- Managing contract administration and operational documentation.
- Monitoring freight movements, delivery schedules and inventory positions.
- Supporting the successful execution of domestic and export trading programs.
- Identifying and resolving operational and logistics issues as they arise.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring information is up to date across internal systems.
- Working closely with traders to ensure efficient and seamless contract execution.
- Contributing ideas to improve systems, processes and operational efficiency.
About You
You may already have experience in commodity trading, agribusiness, grain logistics, transport, supply chain, export operations or another fast-paced operational environment. Equally, if you’ve built a strong career coordinating complex operations in another industry and are looking for an exciting current challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel and business systems.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Sound judgement and commercial awareness.
- A willingness to learn and continually improve.
