Job Description Soni & Sons PTY LTD This is a hands-on management position responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store while maintaining high standards of customer service, merchandising, inventory control and team performance. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, supervising staff and ensuring the store operates efficiently and profitably.

Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring efficient and effective store performance.
- Lead, supervise and support a team of retail employees, preparing staff rosters and coordinating daily duties.
- Monitor customer service standards and promptly resolve customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Plan and implement merchandising strategies, promotional displays and seasonal product placement to maximise sales.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock ordering with suppliers and ensure adequate stock availability while minimising waste.
- Analyse sales performance, stock movement and purchasing trends to optimise product range and profitability.
- Maintain accurate stock control procedures, including stocktakes and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety,



workplace health and safety, and company policies at all times.
- Monitor store presentation, cleanliness and merchandising standards to create an attractive shopping environment and undertaking budgeting.
- Assist in recruiting, training and developing retail staff to achieve operational and customer service objectives.
- Manage cash handling procedures, banking reconciliation and store security requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

- At least one year of relevant retail management experience , preferably within a supermarket, grocery or convenience retail environment.
- A qualification in a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Solid leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with stock control, merchandising and inventory management.
- Sound understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and lead by example.
