We're partnering with one of Australia's leading critical infrastructure organisations to appoint an experienced AI Solution Architect to help design and establish the organisation's enterprise AI platform.

This is not a research or purely advisory architecture role.

We're looking for someone with genuine hands-on experience designing enterprise AI solutions who understands how modern AI platforms are built, secured and deployed within large organisations. You'll work closely with business, infrastructure, security and architecture teams to design practical AI solutions that can confidently move from concept through to implementation.

The role

You will lead solution design activities across a growing AI capability, delivering scalable, secure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

This role will also play an important part in architecture governance, ensuring solutions comply with enterprise security requirements while establishing repeatable AI platform patterns.

Key responsibilities

- Design end-to-end enterprise AI solutions and platforms
- Produce high-level and solution-level architecture designs
- Present solutions to architecture and governance review boards
- Ensure solutions align with Safe & Secure by Design principles
- Partner with vendors, SMEs and delivery teams throughout implementation
- Design AI agents, Copilot and LLM-based solutions




- Design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Design AI orchestration and vector database solutions
- Work across Microsoft Fabric and modern enterprise data platforms
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and security teams to deliver production-ready solutions

About you

You have proven experience designing and implementing enterprise AI solutions—not simply advising on AI strategy.

You'll ideally bring:

- Experience presenting to architecture governance boards
- Solid understanding of the full architecture and design lifecycle
- Microsoft Fabric experience
- Azure platform experience (AWS equivalents also considered)
- Experience with AI agents, LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Dataverse and SharePoint experience
- Experience designing AI orchestration and vector database solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture experience highly regarded

Candidates with a strong cloud-native data platform background who have transitioned into AI architecture will also be considered.
