I am seeking a reliable and enthusiastic after School Tutor / Assistant to support my 14-year-old son on an ongoing basis.

About the Role

The position involves collecting my son from school at BSHS and assisting with:

- Homework and assignment completion
- Study support and exam preparation
- Developing effective study habits and organisational skills
- Transport to football training, gym sessions, physiotherapy appointments and other activities
- Providing encouragement, structure and supervision after school

Hours

- Approximately 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, or 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm, depending on after-school activities
- 3 afternoons per week
- Football training is typically on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, with a finish time of approximately 8:30 pm
- During football training, you are welcome to use the paid time for your own university studies or other quiet work while waiting for him, as your primary responsibility during this period is supervision and availability if needed.
- Additional tutoring and study support hours may be available during exam periods
- Ongoing casual position

Remuneration

- $38 per hour – Monday to Friday (set weekly shifts)




- $42 per hour – Saturday (when exam preparation or additional tutoring is required)
- $45 per hour – Sunday (when exam preparation or additional tutoring is required)

About You

I am looking for someone who:

- Achieved a strong ATAR and is currently studying at University
- Has the confidence and ability to assist with academic subjects and study skills
- Is reliable, responsible and well organised
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys working with teenagers and can build a positive rapport
- Holds a current driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Is a confident and safe driver

A vehicle will be provided for transporting my son to and from activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person seeking flexible, ongoing casual work. Our previous student assistant was with our family for three years before graduating and starting full time employment, so we are hoping to find someone seeking a similarly ongoing arrangement.
