About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating the daily movement of finished goods throughout our manufacturing facility. Working closely with Production, Stores and our freight partners, you will ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately, efficiently and on schedule.
A significant portion of our products are shipped internationally, so you will also assist with coordinating overseas freight, export documentation and ensuring shipments meet customer delivery requirements.
This is a hands-on role that combines warehouse operations, dispatch coordination and logistics administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Coordinate daily dispatch schedules with local and international freight providers.
- Prepare freight labels, consignment notes, export and shipping documentation.
- Book freight and coordinate collections with transport companies.
- Monitor domestic and international shipments and provide delivery updates.
- Maintain accurate dispatch, freight and inventory records.
- Load and unload trucks safely using a forklift.
- Ensure products are packaged and secured to prevent transport damage.
- Work closely with Production to achieve customer dispatch deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and dispatch processes.
What we are Looking for -
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, warehousing or transport coordination.
- Robust organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good computer skills and confidence using inventory or ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
- The ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Desirable Skills
The following would be highly regarded but are not essential:
- Current Forklift Licence.
- MR Truck Licence.
- Experience with freight booking systems.
- Knowledge of international freight, export documentation and overseas shipping procedures.
