Removalist Driver | Customer-Facing Role | $37-$42/hr

2ND LIFE Goods & Rubbish Removal is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Removalist Driver to join our growing Sydney operations.

This is not a standard removalist role. Our drivers are the face of our business, working directly with customers, assessing jobs in office, providing quotes, following our operational processes and helping identify quality items that can be rescued from landfill.

You will combine driving, physical work, customer service and problem-solving every day. You'll work across Sydney helping households and businesses explicit unwanted items while giving furniture and appliances a second life through our charity and resale partner network.

This is a contractor position offering $37-$42 per hour, depending on performance, with consistent weekly work.

Key responsibilities

- Drive company vehicles safely across Sydney
- Complete furniture, household goods and rubbish removal jobs
- Meet customers on-site and provide professional service
- Assess jobs, access requirements and item volumes to provide accurate quotes
- Photograph and sort items according to company processes
- Identify reusable furniture and appliances for rehoming, resale or donation
- Communicate with charity and second-hand store partners
- Safely load, transport and unload items
- Work with an offsider to complete jobs efficiently




- Maintain company vehicles, equipment and professional presentation

What we're looking for

- Full Australian Class C driver's licence (car licence is suitable)
- Previous removalist, delivery, logistics or physical work experience preferred
- Good spoken English and confidence dealing with customers
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
- Physically capable and comfortable with manual work
- Ability to follow processes and make practical decisions on-site
- Customer service, sales or quoting experience is highly regarded
