The Sydney Private Hospital (TSPH) is a 90 bed rehabilitation and surgical hospital with 8 operating theatres. The hospital forms part of a larger 11 hospital Group that offers specialized rehabilitation services for both inpatient and outpatients. The Sydney Private Hospital is located in the heart of the Inner West in Ashfield. The hospital is 15 minutes’ walk from Ashfield station, easily accessible by bus and has free parking onsite.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an Allied Health Assistant to join our team Monday-Friday. Open to part time hours.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assist allied health therapists to deliver exercises in hydrotherapy as well as poolside assistance daily.
- Provide therapy to a caseload of patients delegated to you as per care plans assigned by the allied health therapist.
- Facilitating patient programs and group treatment sessions, patient education on a defined topics, ordering and providing equipment for patients, assisting clinicians with clinical documentation,



assisting patients with applications to access government and community support, assisting with personal care (e.g. showering and toileting), manual handling and transport of patients
- Maintain inventory, equipment, resources and gym and office spaces
- Develop and maintain clinical resources and patient education materials
- Assist all allied health staff with tasks delegated to them on an as needs basis

About you

- Certificate IV or Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance would be highly regarded
- Experience working in either a hospital, sub acute, disability or community health setting would be highly regarded
- Ability and willingness to work in a rapid paced environment and values maintaining a high level of patient care

REQUIREMENTS:

- Up to date vaccination record including 2 doses of Covid-19
- Current Working with Children Certificate
- Current National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Current driver's license
