About the Role
As a Bottle Shop Retail Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming shopping experience while ensuring responsible service of alcohol and maintaining a well-presented store.
This is a casual position with a variety of shifts available, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Full availability is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly and approachable attitude
- Provide product recommendations and assist customers with purchases
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
- Process cash and EFTPOS transactions
- Receive and replenish stock
- Merchandise shelves, fridges and promotional displays
- Maintain store cleanliness and presentation
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Work collaboratively with the wider hospitality team
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous retail, bottle shop or hospitality experience (preferred)
- A current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable transport and punctuality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence handling cash and operating POS systems
- The ability to lift and move cartons safely
- Full availability across a 7-day roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Essential Requirements
