Encircle Community Services is seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our team on a full-time, 12-month contract. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Business Partner, this role provides critical support across the employee and volunteer lifecycle and plays a key role in ensuring our workforce remains compliant, supported and engaged.

Based at our Kallangur office, this role will also be required to work from other Encircle locations including Lawnton, Redcliffe and other sites as required.

SCHADS Level 3.1 | Full-Time Fixed Term (12 Months)

About the Role

As our Human Resources Officer,



you will provide operational HR support across onboarding, compliance, reporting, HR administration, recruitment and records management for our employees and volunteers.

You will work closely with managers and employees, helping to ensure the effective delivery of HR services while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate recruitment administration including telephone screening, interview scheduling and reference checking.
- Support onboarding and induction processes.
- Maintain accurate employee and volunteer records and files.
- Monitor and manage employee compliance requirements including Blue Cards, Police Checks, qualifications and mandatory training.
- Maintain HR and organisational registers including compliance, training, first aid, and position description registers.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce data.
- Assist with policy, procedure and HR document updates.
- Support workplace health and safety administration, incident reporting and return-to-work processes.
- Provide first-level HR advice and support to employees and managers.
- Assist the Human Resources Business Partner with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the principles of social justice.




- Experience supporting employee and / or volunteer lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management and administration.
- Highly developed administration, organisational and computer skills, including robust Microsoft Office capability.
- Demonstrated experience managing confidential information with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with employees, managers, volunteers and stakeholders.
- Experience maintaining compliance records, registers and mandatory employment requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and employment-related legislation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum of Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent experience (bachelor's degree in HR highly desirable).
- Minimum 12 months' experience in an administration or similar HR role.
- Experience working within a not-for-profit, community services, disability, aged care or human services environment will be highly regarded.
- Experience using Employment Hero is desirable.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current National Police Check and Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Ability to travel between Encircle sites as required.
