We're currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established food manufacturing business located in Brisbane's northern suburbs.
This is a permanent day shift opportunity offering excellent work-life balance, competitive pay and regular overtime.
About the role
Working as part of the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Carry out planned maintenance in line with maintenance schedules
- Install, service and repair production machinery
- Work closely with production to maximise equipment reliability
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
About you
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent
- Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or food production
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and production machinery
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
