The Opportunity:
Due to Maitland City Council's commitment to ongoing asset management maturity, our team is experiencing significant growth with a number of new opportunities available!

As our Asset Engineer, you will play a key role in providing strategic planning and project development services for Council's infrastructure assets.

Working collaboratively across the organisation and with external stakeholders, you will provide engineering expertise to support the development of asset management plans, long-term infrastructure strategies and support the development of Council's Capital Works Program. You will also support annual asset reporting, revaluations and service level reviews, while identifying opportunities to secure grant funding for future infrastructure projects.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have a Degree in Engineering.

You will also bring:

- Industry knowledge and experience in the design, construction and maintenance procedures
from an asset management perspective including the development of asset management
strategies, plans and AAS II 6B reporting.
- Knowledge or relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act, Roads Act, WH&S; and
public liability obligations.
- Strong analytical and investigation skills, and strong capability in report writing and the
preparation of correspondence.

Perks:
This is a full-time, permanent role working a 35-hour week, with a base salary range of $110,152 $122,269 per year based on demonstrated experience and qualifications + allowances + 12% super.
