About the role
We are seeking an NDIS Operations Manager to join our team on a full time basis based in Charlestown, NSW. This is a strategic and operational role that plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and compliant delivery of our NDIS services. As NDIS Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our NDIS programs, manage team performance, and drive continuous improvement across all service delivery areas. This role is essential to our mission of providing high-quality, person-centred disability support services.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and manage the operational delivery of NDIS services, ensuring compliance with NDIS legislative requirements, funding agreements, and quality standards
Lead, supervise, and develop the NDIS operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and person-centred practice
Monitor service performance through data analysis, quality audits, and feedback mechanisms, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
Manage rostering, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure optimal service delivery and staff utilisation
Ensure accurate and timely NDIS billing, claims processing, and financial management of program budgets
Coordinate communication between clients, families, support coordinators, and internal teams to ensure continuity of care
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with NDIS guidelines and organisational values
Maintain comprehensive reporting and documentation systems, including incident management and participant feedback
Liaise with the NDIA and other stakeholders regarding program delivery, funding, and participant outcomes
Drive quality improvement initiatives and participate in continuous professional development activities
What we're looking for
Relevant qualification in disability services, business management, social work, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in NDIS operations, disability services management, or related community services roles
Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS framework, legislative requirements, and quality standards including the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and support staff
Excellent organisational and project management abilities, with proficiency in managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and service cost analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders including participants, families, and agencies
Proficiency with data management systems and rostering software; experience with NDS management systems is advantageous
Sound understanding of person-centred planning and support principles
A commitment to fostering inclusive, safe, and respectful work environments where diversity is valued
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the local service area
Working With Children Check (WWCC) and a clear police record
