This role is ideal for a capable and self-driven Mechanical Engineer who understands HVAC pipework and tube systems in detail, and can confidently take ownership of technical work, solve problems independently, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will play a key role across estimating , ensuring compliance standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Review, prepare, and submit tender pricing in accordance with project specifications and deadlines.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents to accurately quantify materials, labour, and plant requirements.
- Provide HVAC/mechanical engineering input during tender stages.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions.
- Maintain tender records, costing databases, and pricing schedules.




- Attend tender review meetings
- Support negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as required.
- Prepare handover documentation for successful tenders and brief project delivery teams.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in estimating within HVAC
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, particularly pipework and mechanical services
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, building codes, and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Robust communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A reliable, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership
