We are currently seeking motivated and physically fit Section Worker to join the Tank House operations team in Townsville. This is a hands-on role working in a demanding industrial environment with ongoing training provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Inspect copper growth and identify imperfections during the production process
- Use specialised tools and blades to remove excess copper growth from cells
- Work safely on top of active copper cells in high-temperature environments
- Monitor growth levels using measuring equipment and follow operational procedures
- Maintain strong focus on safety and compliance standards at all times
- Work collaboratively within a 24/7 rotating roster workplace
- Perform physically demanding tasks requiring consistent upper body strength
- Maintain productivity and attention to detail during long shifts
Requirements:
- Physically fit with strong upper body strength
- Ability to work in extremely hot and humid conditions
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while looking downward for extended periods
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work rotating shifts
