ROSEWOOD PROPERTY GROUP PTY LTD, Pinjarra Hills, QLD 4069
AUD 80,000 – 90,000 per annum (plus Superannuation)
About the Role
ROSEWOOD PROPERTY GROUP PTY LTD is a well‑established construction and property development company specialising in high‑quality residential and commercial building projects across Queensland. We are committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, structural integrity, and outstanding customer service. We are currently seeking a qualified, skilled, and self‑motivated Carpenter to join our team on a full‑time basis.
In this role, you will work across a variety of construction sites to construct, install, erect, maintain, and repair timber structures, frameworks, fixtures, and fittings while ensuring all work complies with architectural drawings, engineering specifications, and the National Construction Code (NCC) of Australia.
Responsibilities
1. Mandatory Blueprint Analysis: Read, break down, and extract precise data from complex architectural drawings and engineering blueprints to establish dimensions and material counts without supervision.
2. Material Control: Take full charge of selecting, ordering, and managing high‑grade timber, plywood, and structural wallboards, ensuring zero material wastage on site.
3. High‑Precision Fabrication: Perform exact cutting, shaping, and structural joint fabrication on heavy timber pieces, strictly meeting exact millimetre project dimensions.
4. Structural Framework Erection: Build and erect structural wall framing, ceiling joists, roof trusses, and sub‑flooring, with a mandatory requirement to verify absolute plumb, level, and structural integrity.
5. Advanced Internal & External Fixings: Execute heavy‑duty internal fixing carpentry, including hanging solid‑core doors,
structural window frames, architraves, skirting, and installing complex security hardware/locks.
6. Formwork Engineering: Design, build, and strongly brace heavy timber or metal formwork (shuttering) capable of handling fluid concrete pressure for slabs and walls, followed by controlled structural dismantling.
7. Multi‑Material Bespoke Construction: Fabricate customised timber mock‑ups, props, and structural layouts, showing proficiency in combining wood with tough plastics, laminates, perspex, and structural metals.
8. Defect Diagnosis & Structural Remodelling: Inspect older or failing buildings, independently diagnose structural timber defects, and execute aggressive structural renovations or heavy repairs.
9. Absolute Code Compliance: Enforce and ensure that every piece of construction fully complies with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and local council building laws.
10. Strict WHS & Licence Maintenance: Maintain a zero‑hazard work site, enforce correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, operate power machinery safely, and hold all mandatory state carpentry licenses and registrations up to date.
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent)
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Carpenter
- Basic understanding of construction principles and site operations
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety, site hygiene, and safe tool handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced on‑site environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
If you are a reliable and enthusiastic Carpenter looking to grow your skills with a growing, high‑end carpentry team, we’d love to hear from you.
