Female Disability Support Partner - Capable, Curious & Values-Aligned

Looking for weekend and weekday work that feels meaningful?

We are seeking a capable, grounded woman to join a thoughtfully built support team assisting a woman in her late 20s as she navigates a change in her life that now requires additional physical support.

She brings spirit, vitality and passion to life - qualities that shape her curiosity about the world and her deep interest in conscious living, health and social justice.

This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys working weekends - whether that’s to complement other commitments, create flexibility during the week, or simply because weekend rhythms suit your lifestyle.

This is a small, cohesive team who take real pride in the quality of support they provide and in the way they work together.

We’re looking for someone who naturally bridges the space between excellent support and genuine relational presence - someone whose warmth, curiosity and intellect can help life feel a little lighter and a little brighter.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love This Role

Work as part of a values-aligned team

Full mentoring and support - comprehensive training before you go solo

A meaningful, soul-nourishing role with space to grow

Beautiful home-based environment, calm and supportive

A chance to be part of a highly respected team that takes pride in doing this work exceptionally well

Shifts & Availability

We’re currently prioritising weekend availability, broad weekday coverage and double up support as we expand our support team

Shifts are approximately 8 hours plus, scheduled between 7:00am and 8:30pm.

Current Priorities:

- Full availability across weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

- Willingness to take on consistent weekend shifts as part of your regular schedule
- Strong preference for broad daytime availability throughout the week
- Weekend morning availability is essential
- Evening availability until approximately 8.30pm
- Minimum 25 hours per week
- Double up shifts (3-4 hours) include early morning and evenings.
- In the future, there may be opportunities for bonus active overnight shifts.

The Role

This role combines hands-on physical support with steady, relational presence.

You’ll be involved in:

- assisting with personal care and daily routines
- supporting mobility using equipment where required
- participating in two-person assists for safety and comfort
- preparing meals and supporting gentle daily rhythms
- bringing calm, steady presence during periods of discomfort or fatigue
- adjusting to varying energy levels throughout the day
- enjoying moments of shared curiosity - thoughtful conversations, documentaries and exploring interesting ideas together

You’ll Thrive Here If You

- bring a calm, grounded presence into your work
- are patient and adaptable when situations change
- enjoy learning and engaging with interesting ideas
- are physically capable and comfortable with hands-on support
- value working within a cohesive, collaborative team
- understand that excellent support is relational and built over time
- People who do well in this role tend to steady,

curious and open to learning the rhythms of someone else’s world.

Female only (due to personal care requirements)

Open Driver’s Licence and own car

Ability to travel to Karalee

Comfortable using everyday technology (email, shared calendars, notes)

Curious but not experienced?

That’s okay. This role is far more about who you are than what you’ve done before.

Previous disability experience is not essential. What matters most is your reflection, discernment, your presence, and your willingness to learn and apply this learning in practice.

Perhaps you’ve built resilience through real-world experience - supporting others, leading teams, staying calm under pressure, or helping people feel safe and seen.

If you’re now looking for work with more meaning and heart, we’d love to hear from you.
