About the Role We're looking for an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our NSW project team on a FIFO 2:1 roster. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll work closely with leaders and frontline teams to maintain compliance, promote safe work practices and drive continuous improvement across site operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on safety professional who enjoys building positive relationships and influencing a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of Shadbolt's HSE Management System and client requirements.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and hazard identification activities.
- Assist with SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments and permit systems.
- Lead incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
- Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions and safety briefings.
- Monitor environmental compliance and support emergency preparedness.
- Coach supervisors and employees to improve HSE performance and compliance.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and reporting.
About You You'll bring:
- Diploma,
Certificate IV or higher qualification in WHS or a related discipline.
- White Card and relevant HSE qualifications.
- 3-5 years' experience in a construction, infrastructure, mining or major projects environment.
- Solid knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and risk management principles.
- Experience conducting investigations, audits and safety reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and coach others.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
