We're partnering with a rapidly growing digital infrastructure provider to appoint a Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer to support and help modernise its national network environment.

This is far more than a traditional NOC role. You'll join a team responsible for operating and transforming a network environment that has grown through multiple acquisitions. As the business standardises and uplifts its infrastructure, you'll play a key role in moving from legacy, service provider style architecture to a more automated, highly resilient operating model.

Alongside day-to-day operational support, you'll be involved in network upgrades, infrastructure improvements, service deployments and projects that will shape the future of the platform.

Responsibilities

- Monitor network performance and respond to real‑time operational events across a critical infrastructure environment.
- Investigate and resolve network incidents across routing, switching, security and connectivity services.
- Own incidents through to resolution, performing root cause analysis and coordinating with internal teams, vendors and carriers where required.
- Deliver network changes supporting new customer services, infrastructure upgrades and ongoing platform improvements.
- Contribute to network transformation initiatives, helping modernise legacy environments and improve operational maturity.
- Support change management, documentation, standardisation and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in a shared on‑call roster supporting critical services outside business hours.

Experience Required

You'll ideally bring experience from enterprise,



telecommunications, managed services or data centre environments, with solid operational troubleshooting capability and a genuine interest in network engineering.

You'll also have:

- Strong networking fundamentals across routing and switching.
- Experience supporting Cisco, Juniper or similar enterprise networking platforms.
- Exposure to routing protocols such as OSPF and/or BGP.
- Experience with network monitoring and alerting tools.
- Understanding of firewalls, VPNs and network security concepts.
- Experience working within structured incident and change management processes.
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.

You remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly during incidents and enjoy working collaboratively to solve complex problems. You're equally comfortable supporting live operational environments while contributing to projects that improve them.

Working Pattern

Standard business hours with participation in a shared on‑call rotation, approximately one week per month, supporting critical incidents outside business hours.
