Join a privately owned multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong pipeline of infrastructure, development and government projects across NSW. As the business continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Flood Engineer to lead projects, mentor engineers and help expand the firm's flood engineering capability.

This role can be based in Sydney CBD or Newcastle, NSW.

About the role

Working alongside experienced civil and water engineers, you will lead and deliver projects across the full project lifecycle, delivering flood engineering solutions for land development, transport, water infrastructure, defence and local government clients.

Your responsibilities will include

- Lead the delivery of flood modelling and floodplain management projects across land development and civil infrastructure sectors.
- Undertake and review hydraulic and hydrologic modelling using TUFLOW.
- Manage project delivery, budgets, programs and client expectations.
- Mentor graduate and intermediate engineers.
- Support business development through client relationship management and proposal preparation.

About You

- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8+ years' experience delivering flood engineering projects within a consulting environment.
- Solid experience using TUFLOW for flood modelling and analysis.




- Experience with DRAINS, HEC-RAS and Floodplain Risk Management Plans highly regarded.
- Proven ability to manage projects and build lasting client relationships.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- CPEng (or working towards) highly regarded.
